Dear Words With Friends,
It’s funny how love works. Sometimes the person you’re meant to be with lives right down the street, and sometimes they’re halfway around the world just waiting to be found.
In my case, it was the latter, and Words With Friends helped us to connect. I started playing about a year ago and was enjoying competing with new people. Then, I connected randomly through Smart Match with the man who is now my boyfriend. After playing for a few weeks, we started chatting through the game. We hit it off – it was instant chemistry. I decided to take our chatting a bit further, and gave him a call on the phone. I then realized that we had so much in common that this was a man I needed to meet, even though he lives in the U.S. and I live in Australia. So, I took a leap.
I took a flight from Melbourne, Australia to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee this past September to meet him. I had such a fantastic time, I returned only a few short months later for New Year’s. While I was there, I fell in love with the area and this wonderful guy, and realized this was the place for me.
I’m currently in the process of applying for my Green Card. Fingers crossed for the paperwork to go through so that I can move to Tennessee in the near future. We still play Words With Friends together every day, whether we’re on different continents or sitting next to each other on the couch…and hopefully we’ll be playing many more of our games from the same room soon!
